Michael Pollock
President, Pollock Spark

Michael has always worked with talented and creative people. They have immense respect for him, and the more talented they are, the more respect they have, which is very unusual in a creative business. They remain grateful to Michael in a way that is remarkable. They feel he nurtured them, gave them opportunities, taught them.

A Brit, Michael’s career got off to a running start in London making TV spots and helping his company win the Palme D’Or at the Cannes Festival. He has completed successful projects for creative businesses including ad and PR agencies, dotcoms, film and TV companies, graphic designers and industrial designers. He has started, built and managed teams and organizations in London and New York, and honed his skills as a leader, pioneer, coach, marketer, team builder, manager and mentor. His experience makes him uniquely talented to help today’s creative businesses flourish.

He has helped many individual creative professionals to focus and develop their careers, build on their strengths, develop stronger resumes and make smarter, more effective choices.

Before starting Pollock Spark in 2001, Michael started and led award-winning TV and radio production departments at global ad agencies JWT and TBWA. Clients served include American Express, Burger King, Kodak, Warner Lambert American Red Cross and many more. He has built elite design and film-editing boutiques, bringing talent to New York from around the world.  During the dotcom boom, he created a party-going, cosmo-drinking monkey that dramatically boosted website traffic; at marketing agency Digitas he was a Creative Director for the American Express website.

He graduated in Physics from Bristol University in England, where he ran their internationally recognized Operatic Society, and he lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with his wife Laurie.

I found this on a client’s profile on Current.com. How could I not share it – this is exactly as written!
