Off the grid in the Osa Peninsula

I went off the grid last week. Truly off the grid, to a wonderful eco lodge in Costa Rica that did admittedly have a solar powered refrigerator – but other than that it was candles and my headlamp. No smart phone. No news. No Tweeting or Facebook or email. It was very nice indeed. When I got back I had missed a nasty warehouse fire down the block from my office. Below is a picture of what I missed – and a picture of where I stayed.

Because sharing is caring, I have also included some sightings from the trip. Yes there were howler monkeys.
