Colleen Carney, Interior Designer

After 10 years at Goldman Sachs Colleen Carney quit to start her own interior design business. As a teenager she had loved decorating  – but hadn’t seen that as a job option.  Hence her years in the money business.

She tells Michael Pollock how she made herself a financial plan and got Goldman Sachs to pay for her schooling.   After another 5 years she finally made the jump.  But it moving back in with her family.  So was the dream “as shiny” as she had imagined?  It wasn’t easy – but she says she has no regrets and now her new career is well under way.
